The inspiration for the EnGo Battery Case came from the discovery of lithium in a deposit in Serbia. As EnGo Planet specializes in battery-operated products, it was only natural for the company to invest in developing housings for lithium-based batteries. The end product can be used in the company's solar solutions or marketed separately for other purposes.
What sets the EnGo Battery Case apart from others is its unique design and features. The case is designed to be minimalistic and contemporary, making it visually appealing. Its portable size allows it to fit comfortably in one hand, making it easy to carry and transport. Additionally, the case is stackable, allowing for efficient storage and organization.
The EnGo Battery Case is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional. It implements large radii and beveled edges to maximize space, enabling cables and connectors to fall between the cases. This design feature not only saves space but also ensures a clean and organized setup. The case also features a cooling opening that accepts a detachable multifunctional handle, making it easy to carry and position within a set.
Furthermore, the EnGo Battery Case offers customization options. The battery terminal caps can be tightened by hand or an Allen key, providing flexibility and ease of use. Users can monitor the operation and battery capacity of the case through a smartphone via Bluetooth, adding convenience and control.
The EnGo Battery Case is made using injection-molded polymer and bent chrome-plated rod. Its dimensions are 310mm in height, 125mm in width, and 68mm in depth (without the handle). This compact size allows for versatile applications in various products.
Interacting with the EnGo Battery Case is simple and intuitive. One unit functions as a portable smart battery, while a set can be oriented in different ways for various uses in other products. Rotating a case can pair up a set into a hexagonal vertical composition, ideal for placement inside a light pole. Alternatively, a large number of units can be stacked into a rectangular composition, allowing for horizontal routing of cables up to 10mm in diameter and vertical routing of MC4 solar connectors with a diameter of 19mm.
The EnGo Battery Case project took place in Belgrade, Serbia, and lasted several weeks. Extensive research was conducted to ensure the case's compatibility with different products and applications. The positions of the terminals can be customized during production to fit the product's intention or the type of set, facilitating easier connection and usage of cables of varying lengths.
The EnGo Battery Case has overcome several creative and technical challenges. Its multifunctionality required a handle that could be used to carry and lower or pull up the battery in or out of position in large sets. The solution is a flexible handle that can be easily inserted into the carrying position and securely held in place by outward-bent ends. When not in use, the handle can be safely stored inside the housing. It can even carry two units simultaneously if needed. The case's safe stackability is achieved through two pairs of recesses on the upper side, with one pair serving as terminal cap recesses.
The EnGo Battery Case is a versatile and innovative solution for various battery-powered applications. Its sleek design, portability, stackability, and customization options make it a standout choice for both individual and high-end solutions. Whether it's powering solar street lights, electric vehicles, or other devices, the EnGo Battery Case offers a reliable and stylish solution.
